Let's not having money stand in the way of seizing land.

School Construction Corp. seized the land of the proposed Stop&Shop site in the Heights. From what I have heard, no money has changed hands. SCC projects in Union City are on hold because of money. Bovis (?), the company currently under contract for the Collard St. project, said that SCC will have to find someone else for future projects because Bovis has had nothing but money problems with SCC.

Here's a sobering thought, here in the Heights, we were so busy bickering whether or not we wanted a Stop&Shop or houses (both generate ratables), no one was watching the back door and look what we got. Could the same happen to AMB/Golf Course? SCC reminds me of a spoiled child that isn't interested in anything until someone else has it.

And if I were the Reservoir Alliance, I would keep my eyes WIDE open.
