: stopstevefulop.com coming soon ---------------------------------------------------------------- The following message was posted earlier this evening by Sonia Maldonado on NWA's bulletin board: Thank-you Jeremy, for posting the truth, although it won't matter much to Steve Fulop, who seems to be on the war path because of the Paulus Hook incident. It may also be he has involved himself in an illegality, and he knows it. We took a ride by the Paulus Hook area this evening to see the park, the monument, and the barrier that is still there. There is no justification for this barrier, except to restrict access to other Jersey City residents, in particular people who may want to visit the state park. Moreover, it is most likely illegal for Paulus Hook tenants to be blocking access to a state park. One of my friends commented that the asphalt drive would make a perfect municipal parking lot for people to use when visiting the park or monument. We drove around the area, and found, despite the fact that both sides of the street are zoned for parking, it is mostly zoned for resident parking, and there is very little space available to park a car, so it makes perfectly good sense to open the area near the park and monument for public parking. We also took a look at the other side of the section, on Warren Street by the waterfront, and found no parking or standing permitted on that side as well, Also unjustified, and in this case denying access to the waterfront. It was clear to all of us that the intent here is to exclude other Jersey City residents. To demonstrate otherwise, perhaps, Paulus Hook should consider setting up basketball hoops at the end of Warren Street. Another friend remarked if Paulus Hook can do this, maybe Newport should do it as well. Newport residents could construct a barrier across Washington Boulevard, denying access to the Holland tunnel. It's a similar scenario. Naw, she said, we're the good guys. Feel free to post this message on any other board. The citizens of Jersey City should be made aware of the fact that their rights and privileges are eroding because of politicians like Steven Fulop.
