Got the following rant in the mail. It was postmarked "280 Grove." Now you know how the dead wood keeps themselves from dying from boredom while counting off the days to retirement.

In '97, I walked the length and breadth of Ward A (including every floor of Currie's Woods) handing out flyers for Schundler-Macchi. Many residents told me that THEY DIDN'T LIKE THE MACCHIS! Some political powerhouses that can't pull their own backyard.

Dear Uberhippy, ( aka/change your name to : U BE AN ASSHOLE)

I just returned from summer vacation to see a new format with getnj.com. I see your comments concerning numerous topics. I will reply very soon via internet, however I figured I drop you a line or two.
A. You must have no life to begin with, therefore you like to post on the internet. You have no BALLS to give a real name or real sources of information.
B. You attack numerous people, in particular Bill Macchi, Harvey Smith, Allan/Lou Manzo, etc. These statements read of someone like a Jerry McKlan/McCann. C. Lets begin with Bill Macchi:
I have known Bill for over 35 years and there is no one on government who is more honest, knowledgeable, integrity, etc. I could go on. Did you know that when he lost for Mayor Tommie Smith asked him to stay on with the city and be a grants writer/human resources ? I know because I worked for Tommie Smith. Bill reply was if you fire any of my people I will not take the job. That's the type of man Bill was/is. Do you want names of personnel fired; How about Joe Panepinto, Brian Doherty, Sue Mack, etc quality people.
Bill did make a mistake running as a "republican" but as you mention where is Bobby J today and where is Bill Macchi ? Bill is an asset in every/any campaign. Your cliff notes on his race with Bobby j is a joke. Can/do you read ? What Paul Byrne said about his childhood friend ?? Bobby J So in conclusion, get off this Bill Macchi issue of the past because you are not a pimple on his ass nor do you have any balls to state your real name therefore - u be an asshole - grow up- get, or try, a life
D. Harvey Smith, a former athlete, coach, administrator, teacher, councilman, and yes acting mayor. He has gave back to Jersey City in numerous ways, including standing up to the black community when Glenn Cunningham was wrong. Which Glenn was, bringing in Gene Drayton, Bobby Jackson, Joe Caldwell, etc - all garbage. To say that Harvey is not a player is stupid. If Willie Flood was not in the race Harvey is still the Mayor. He was elected twice city-wide as the top vote getter so to dismiss him is crazy.
E. Lou Manzo, is an independent voice who happens to pick the wrong people at the wrong time to support or go against him. You must not know his late brother Alan, Alan had balls, unlike you, if alan does not run in the special election Lou manzo is your mayor and Bret Schundler is not even mentioned at dinner table. Then Lou association again with Jerry Mcklan cost him another election. Lou still has a base of supporters and will be a factor in future elections.
I am getting off the computer and I suppose I will communicate with you in the future should you continue to write off the wall, stories and comments.
I will shortly retire from government and will have more time for my computers with assholes like you.

Regards,
Jc roadrunner
I will with-hold my name until I receive yours. Stay tuned

-- Smith sent all the Jordan hanger-ons packing tootsweet. (Tommie Smith axed EVERY member of the Jordan Law Department with the sole exception of Tom Fodice.) All the clowns get walking papers but the ringleader is asked to stay? Do you still believe in the tooth fairy?

"E. Lou Manzo, is an independent voice who happens to pick the wrong people at the wrong time to support or go against him. -- During round two of the Merry Gerry show, what did McCann call Manzo when Lou(ser) was pulling that stunt of OH THERE'S A ROACH IN THIS RESTAURANT and runnin' to the JJ with the story? McCann didn't call him an "independent voice," that's f'rsure. A Lou(natic) with a checkbook, is that y'r definition of an "independent voice?" $2 million dollars, signs stuck on everything stickable and the wackjob foto and what does it add up to: DISTANT second.

-- What's the "E." stand for? That's a new one on me. And, btw, it's "L." -- not "D." -- Harvey Smith.
