This past year as the Ward E councilman has been
significant and challenging on many fronts, both
personally and professionally. While insuring the
issues that affect Ward E move forward, I have
recently completed my service to the military as well
as the masters programs in Public Policy at Columbia

With in Ward E, we have taken significant strides
forward with many important issues including the
commencement of our extensive street paving
initiative, embankment protection work , new policies
put into place to finally create a true restaurant row
on Newark Avenue, where we have begun to see
restaurants flourish. City wide, we have brought to
the forefront the need for a city hiring freeze on non-
essential employees, and have also been successful
in passing enhanced security ordinances to insure
that new buildings provide the necessary security
measures to improve community safety. Finally, one
additional note to mention is that as promised during
the campaign I have donated my entire salary to a
charity in Jersey City that assists and supports
underprivileged women called the The York Street
Project (If you have some time it is a cause worth
getting involved with).

Looking forward over the next couple months, the
focus will continue to be building on some of the
initiatives from last year, primarily public safety and
fiscal responsibility, while also beginning to improve
parking issues and improving green space in Ward E,
including the beginning of Hamilton Park's renovation,
Van Vorst Park's dog run, and the securing of funds
to repair Owen Grundy pier on the waterfront

Finally, I also want to take this opportunity to let
you know that I will be running in the NYC Marathon
to raise money for the Hudson County Child Abuse
Prevention Center. I would like to personally thank
each of the individuals and organizations that have
pledged to support me. If you are interested in
supporting my run and donating to this great cause
you can do via

It is a privilege to represent you on the city council,
and I am thankful for the opportunity.
