Heil Sonia!

O great leader, efficient message board moderator, powerful lobbyist, artful shoulder rubber, and exalted ambassador of intolerance and suppression. You are the epitome of fairness, grace under pressure, and not least of all, true democracy.

Newport City, rather, Jersey City would not be the same without you.

I detect sarcasm. The Great Leader will hunt you down like a rabid dog and deal with you. NEVER insult the Great Leader!

Thanks, little sheep. But you forgot to add that it would a sadomasochistic fantasy to want to be me.

At the risk of being labeled "crazy" for agreeing with Ms. Maldonado about Steve Fulop's motives, and character, I'd like to point out there are others in our community who are also questioning his sincerity. People in Newport who know Sonia recognize that for her it's all about helping the community. But Steve is only about his political career, and doing what's politically efficient for himself. He cares nothing about helping the people of Jersey City.

This letter appeared in today's Jersey Journal. It pinpoints the questions many of us are raising:

Tell more on Fulop story

I would like to comment on Councilman Lipski's letter in today's paper. First of all, I would like to say it was a very well thought out letter, and I was very impressed. Not to say our council is not intelligent - I just never saw our council people respond so quickly and so intelligently to another councilman's grandstanding.

I used to have a great admiration for Councilman Fulop and his drive. However, I am a little concerned with something written in Lipski's letter. He said an ordinance made by Councilman Fulop was overturned by the state Supreme Court. I would like to know a little bit more information of what this ordinance was, and where could I find out where it was passed and when it was overturned and why it was, because Councilman Fulop struck me as a very intelligent man who would have done his research. But reading today's letter, I am second-guessing Fulop's true intentions of helping the people or just self-serving his political career.

If Councilman Lipski can provide more information, I would be internally grateful.

Where is the courtroom where the case will be on Monday. Is it open to the public? I would like to see Sonia in person!

I don't see what the big deal is about the bollards. I see the street open and nobody using it. Even if the three bollards are in the middle of the street, you can still drive around them, or move them.

Who allowed the bollards? Isn't it City Hall that allowed them?
